Program Overview
Our Professional Diploma program is designed for students who want to enter the job market quickly with relevant skills and hands-on training. In just two years, you will develop a solid foundation in office procedures, business communication and administrative support.
This program is ideal for those who want to begin working soon after completion, but it also offers a smooth transition into our Higher National Diploma for those looking to study further. Also, students who complete the Professional Diploma have the opportunity to seamlessly join the four-year Bachelor in Technology program at Level (200) if they wish to continue their education. Our department provides a supportive environment that empowers students to pursue higher academic and career goals without stress or intimidation.
Admission Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIP-TECH
Eligible candidates for admission into the two year diploma programme must possess one of the following qualifications or requirements.
· SHS SCHOOL LEAVERS WHOSE GRADE DOES NOT QUALIFY THEM FOR DIRECT FOUR YEAR B-TECH ADMISSION.
(a) Passes in minimum of five (5) subjects including English, Mathematics and a relevant area in either SSSCE (A-D) or WASSCE (A1-E8)
(b) Passes in at least four (4) O’Level courses including English and Mathematics.
(c) Other relevant professional certificates such as NVTI Stenographer Certificate I or II.
(d) Matured applicants of 25 years and above with any of the following certificates SSSCE (A-D) or WASSCE NVTI I. Applicants with passes but have working experience of two years in relevant fields will be admitted based on interview performance.
NB: Matured candidates may be required to attend an interview such as an additional requirement for admission.
At the end of the programme students who attain CGPA credits of 3.0 and above will be allowed to join Bachelor of Technology Programme at level 300. Students with CGPA credits of between 2.0 and 2.99 may join the B-tech programme at level 200.
