DEPARTMENT OVERVIEWThe Department of Procurement and Supply seeks to train career-minded studentsusing competency-based approach to enable students acquire managerial andentrepreneurial skills in order to become self-employed or top-level and middle-levelmanagement professionals in commerce and industry.MissionThe mission of the Department is to develop a Centre of excellence for the provision ofquality education and consultancy in procurement management and also to provide thepublic and private sector with a stream of skilled and competent manpower inprocurement.VisionThe vision of the department is to ensure excellent teaching, learning and research insupply chain management in order to produce competent manpower for the private andpublic sectors in Ghana and the international community.GoalThe goals of the department are the following:a) To offer students a unique opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge in SupplyChain Management to enable students analyse problems in the world of work.b) To cater for the procurement needs of the public and private sectors throughlectures, seminars, symposium and workshops.c) To conduct and encourage research and study in the fields of Supply ChainManagement and related areas of study.d) To operate with other educational institutions in the development of educationalprogrammes.
